Candy Buffets- Fun with Color

So you have a party upon you, and you are planning a candy buffet. Start with your color theme. Go wild and crazy with several colors, or keep it simple with one or two. I LOVE seeing what our Southwest Candy customers do with our candy. Truly, we love being part of your special event. So when you call us, and ask us to help you plan your candy display- it just makes our day!

SO you have a color theme. You are doing pastels, you are doing bright primary colors, you are doing harvest time, or holiday time colors, or perhaps a glitz and glam theme with all the gold and silver! The last one being my personal favorite.

Now you need to determine how much candy you need for this wonderous occasion. I use the estimate of 1/4-1/5lb per person.
You can easily start with our basic candy buffet starter package (available in most single colors): http://www.southwestcandy.com/blue-candy-buffet-candy-assortment.html
This will give you about enough for 48 people to have a lollipop each (except for the Rock Candy) and a small portion of the gumballs, sixlets, and buttermints. While the key word here is "starter", you are going to need more to account for the guideline of 1/4-1/5lb of candy per person.

So give us a call, or send us a chat request. We are here to help make your next event super sweet!

Candy By Color for Your Next Event

Baby showers do it. Weddings certainly do it. Birthday parties, fundraisers, and even corporate events have joined the bandwagon..... candy by color is what I am talking about. You have a theme for your event, and this theme usually involves COLOR. Sure a baby shower is typically pink, blue, or perhaps yellow or green, but weddings usually add in a second complimentary color.  Now birthday parties, fundraisers, and corporate events tend to get even more creative taking on, for example, a superhero party of red, blue, and yellow; a luau party of green, blue, orange, and yellow. You get the idea.
So here at Southwest Candy, any color scheme you need- we got it. Candy buffet? Yep! We do those all day long! Gumballs, Rock Candy, Straws, Sixlets, M&Ms, Buttermints, and all kinds of lollipops to fit your color theme.

Are You Ready for Some FOOTBALL??

That weekend is almost here- the one that usually breaks everyone's diet with bar food and beer! SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!
So if you are hosting one of these extravaganzas, don't forget to add the sweets to complement your savory. And if you are attending an extravaganza, don't forget your host needs a candy dish with football chocolates as a token of appreciation!
The Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos will give a good show no doubt. The top ranked Panthers definitely play some hard ball. Scoring two points when already in the lead just to rub the Cardinals' nose in it? Hmm.... that will get you nowhere b/c karma is a butt kicker!

So enjoy some football chocolates, or maybe create a unique arrangment of lollipops to display for them in a pot? Laffy Taffy in a bowl to keep the party's humor rolling.... so many options with candy. But whether you are hosting or attending- candy should be part of your game plan.

May the best team win! www.southwestcandy.com is your candy one stop shop!
